My friend Albert makes hot hot music under the name FIRE 4 EFFECT. He just put up some new songs that you should really check out. One of them reminds me of Teenage Badgirl and that's a good thing. I don't know how he'd liked to be described so all I'm going to say is... ULTRADEMON.

I recently found out that one of my college tutors is friends with a really good photographer called David Titlow. I don't know what to say about him other than he's been in Vice, Dazed & Confused, The Guardian and 125 Magazine. He also taken photos of loads of cool celebrities like: Arcade Fire, Pharrell, Boddy Gillespie and Alexa Chung.

PINK ELEPHANT CIGARETTES

These things look just about as crazy as that hotel in the last post. They've probably been about for years everywhere and I've just recently found out about them. Basically, they're pink vanilla-flavoured cigarettes that come in a black box with a elephant facing backwards on it and "Pink Elephant" written in pink. Cute, huh?

Sorry it's such a small picture, it's the only one I could find that actually showed the cigarettes too.

PROPELLER ISLAND

This hotel is crazy. All their rooms are overly decadent and full of novelties like coffins for beds or a big plastic bag instead of a bath; a diamond shaped room full of mirrors and a room with slanted floors and floating bed. Bizarro! They seem to try and get the point across that every room is still really comfy despite the novelties, and I believe them. I'd say check out rooms 15, 16, 18, 26, 31... but really just look at them all!

Here's some pictures and descriptions if you end up not looking at the site:

"A friendly prison cell with a hole in the wall. The toilet is in the room, just like we know it should be! What's different: You really WANT to stay here, it's extremely comfortable. Freedom awaits on the balcony with a parasol."

"A tubular room with three consecutively ordered, terraced beds. The floor is hilly and even the wands are tilted! Like being in a mine - isn't that a lift there in the corner...?"

"Definitely one of City Lodge's highlights. The diamand-shaped room is completely(!) laid out with mirrors and gives you the impression of living in a kaleidoscope. Caution: Very sexy!"

I've been hearing about this band for a while in magazines and on the internet, but only today have I decided to listen to them. I guess I could say they sound a little but like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! but I don't really want to. They're a nice mix of depressing vocals, jangly guitars and lyrics I can relate to.

I recently made a little promo mix for a clubnight I help put on. The club night was called Teenage Lust! and I just put the mix on Sendspace. It's a little rough and it doesn't play through my car speakers too well, but it'll at least give people a rough idea of what i'm up to. I don't know how long Sendspace host things for, so grab it while you can!

I found out a few days ago that The Death Set are playing Aberdeen. This is great news. The Death Set are kind of skuzzy, fuzzy lo-fi new wave analogue drum-box driven pop and look to be crazy good live.

Already I don't know what to do with this blog. I don't have an interesting enough life to write or even want to write about and I don't think anyone reads this, so it'd be pointless posting news items, videos and funny pictures. Right?

Anyway, I really really like the Peter Bjorn and John album, 'Writer's Block' .

I took some photographs of Lindsay last night. I put two of them up on Flickr today. I will try to put up more soon, but I'll have to sort through them first. I also recently put in 6 rolls of film to be developed. It'll be good fun to see them all, in tangible form. Just being photos and everything. Hanging out.
